Rebecca Bridge

After growing up in Mount Isa before moving to Bribie Island and falling in love, Rebecca Bridge only worked a small stint in hospitality before finding her passion working with and looking after children.

With a long history in the Education sector including roles as an Indigenous teacher aide and learning support aide, Rebecca simply could not imagine doing anything else with her life.

“When I wasn’t working with children I was bringing them home with me which finally lead to my husband and I fostering a young boy in 2007. I found fostering to be very rewarding and something I know we will do again in the future”

After giving birth to her youngest daughter, Rebecca stayed home to embrace being a fulltime mum, and then when her daughter turned two, she decided it was time for the both of them to head back to daycare!

“I began looking into childcare positions. It was during this search that I discovered Montessori education at Caboolture Children’s House and wanted to learn more about it.”

Rebecca was fortunately offered an assistant’s position in the toddler room in March and she jumped at the opportunity and been happily learning everyday.

“Every day I am learning more about Montessori methods and teaching from our amazing staff and children. My position at Caboolture Children’s House has inspired me to want to become a Qualified Montessori teacher and my long term goal is to share these methods in indigenous communities in Australia”

Rebecca is a passionate, loving and motivated educator dedicated to enjoying a balanced lifestyle that sees her enjoy lots of time at the beach, swimming, surfing and fishing.  She also has a passion for yoga, reading and can be found enjoying a spot of Belly Dancing whenever the opportunity arises.
